Charles W. Davenport, Sr. Mr. Charles W. Davenport, Sr., passed away Tuesday afternoon October, 29, 1996 at Samaritan Hospital, Ashland, Ohio, following a brief illness. Chuck was born on February 7, 1939 in Murray County, Georgia, the son of Christopher Bartow and Ollie Eve (Kisselberg) Davenport. He was married to Peggy A. Grob in Brighton, Michigan on May 27, 1988. Prior to moving to the Flint area in 1986, he had lived in the Gloria Glens area for several years. Chuck was the Co-Owner of Do-It-Rite Janitorial of Flint. Surviving in addition to his wife Peggy are: 3 daughters, Martha (Nick) Radu, Faye (Joe) Stager, Della (Greg) Fink; 1 son, Chip (Shawna) Davenport, his step-son Brent Williamson and step-daughter Jessica Martin. Chuck is also survived by 6 brothers; Clinton, Hall, Bill, Jimmy, Benny and Alan; 3 sisters, Glynn Bandy, Joyce Saylors and Nellie Bunn. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Alexander Davenport, 1 brother, Christopher Davenport Sr., and 2 sisters, Helen Pelmons and Mildred Davenport. Chuck also leaves behind his beloved dogs Kicker and Ebony. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 2, 1996 at the Keehn Funeral Home, 706 West Main Street, Brighton, Michigan (810) 229-9871. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
