Pauline Dobbins

Pauline Dobbins, 80, of Peoria died at 1:26 a.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2006, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1925, in Benton, Tenn., daughter of James H. and Lydia J. Harrison Crumley. She married Arnold Dobbins on March 25, 1942, in Chatsworth, Ga. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1994, in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Dobbins in 1986.

Surviving are one son, Eddie (Karen) Dobbins of Oak Lawn, Ill.; six daughters, Juanita (Jerry) Gain and Judy (Randy) Gruber, both of Chillicothe, Margaret Coyne and Jan Dobbins, both of Peoria, Carol Dobbins of Pekin and Lynnette (Scott) Sternberg of Tremont; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pauline worked at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria for 20 years, retiring in 1986.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Hanna City.
