Billy E. Elrod

Mr. Billy B. Elrod, 74, of Ocean Springs, MS died Friday, November 12, 2004, in Biloxi.

Mr. Elrod was born in Spring Place, Georgia, and had been a resident of the Coast since 1949. He was a retired U. S. Air Force T/Sgt. with over 20 years of service. He was an Air Refueling Technician (Boom Operator) and flew many missions over Vietnam. After retirement, he was the owner/operator of a trucking business for 25 years. He was a member of Spring Place Baptist Church in Georgia and a 32 Degree Mason.

Mr. Elrod was preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Skrmetta Elrod and a son, Thomas Elrod.

Survivors include two daughters, Judith Ann Pearson and Tonya R. Elrod of Ocean Springs and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2004, at 7 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour before service time. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
