Dozier B. Hilliard

Dozier B. Hilliard, 87, Bradenton, died Nov. 2, 2006, at Blake Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 24, 1919, in Chatsworth, Ga., and came to Bradenton from there in 1930. He was a bank chairman and had been a director of the Jaycees, Bradenton Chamber of Commerce and Manatee County Safety Council. He served in the Army and Army Air Forces during World War II. He was a senior member of Bradenton Kiwanis Club, and a member of the Hernando DeSoto Historical Society and Christ Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marylene T. of Bradenton; daughters Julie Ross and Mary A.; sons Dozier L. and William P.; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Fogartyville Cemetery.
