Thelma Krug Thelma Krug, nee Layman, 88, of Belleville, Ill., born April 22, 1920, in Chatsworth, Ga., died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Four Fountains Convalescent Center, Belleville, Ill. Thelma was a seamstress for 40 years at Charles Meyer Pant Factory, Belleville, Ill. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Belleville for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Krug, who died in January 1996; her parents, John and Manilla, nee Hatfield, Layman; a sister, Juanita Gipe; and her brother, Geo Layman. Surviving are her daughter and son, Karen (Edgar) Powell and Steve Krug, both of Belleville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Milton VanDiver, Deanna VanDiver, Paul Powell, April (Joe) Roy, and Nina (John) Parasi; five great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Riley, Anthony, Dominic, and Christian; and a sister, Mary Lee Haggard of North Carolina.
