Don Langston

Don Langston of Eugene died Dec. 15 of age-related causes at age 87. No service is planned.

He was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Murray County, Georgia, to Louis and Lula Brown Langston. He married Valerie Finke on June 24, 1955, in Eugene.

Langston served in the Marine Corps from 1942 to 1945, including two years in the South Pacific, and attained the rank of sergeant. He worked as a carpenter in Coos, Linn and Lane counties.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mark and Gary, both of Eugene, and Ken of Henderson, Ky.; two sisters, Kay Richard of Bloomdale, Ohio, and Charlotte Kusian of Toledo, Ohio; three brothers, Clancy of Millbury, Ohio, Herb of Fort Pierce, Fla., and J.R. of Calhoun, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
