Daniel Nathan Merchant

GOLDEN VALLEY, Ariz. - Memorial service for Daniel Nathan Merchant, 38, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mr. Merchant died Feb. 2 at his residence. He was born Dec. 4, 1965, in Lakenheath, England. He attended Talladega High School for one year in 1981 and graduated from Murray County High in Chatsworth, Ga.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary and Don Thornton of Talladega; his father, Jack R. Merchant of Peterborough, England; brothers, Jack R. Merchant Jr. of Clovis, N.M., and Ronald Wayne Merchant of Talladega; sister, Deborah Spooner of Clio, Mich.; stepsisters, Debra Sharp and Donna Pritt of Chatsworth, Ga.; stepbrother, Deiter Thornton; foster sister, Kathy Taylor of Talladega; grandparents, Myrlice and Irene Moody of Batesville, Ark.; great-grandmother, Margaret Moody of Batesville, Ark.; 14 nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and nephews.

Sutton Memorial Funeral Home in Kingman, Ariz., is in charge of the arrangements.
