Boise-Suit for $35,000 was filed in federal
court recently against the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific
railroad for the death of Mike Honig, who was killed July 12, 1929,
in a crossing accident at Fernwood, in Benewah County.

- Edna Pearl Hall, 87, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at De Smet
Memorial Hospital.
Edna Pearl Lynch was born Dec. 13, 1911,
in Topaz, Idaho. She attended schools in Idaho and Utah. She then
worked for Col. Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken as one of the first
friers for the company.
She married John Eggette in 1928 in
Utah. She moved to Alaska and worked in a military installation as a
cook.
She married George Hall on Oct. 19, 1967, in North
Pole, Alaska. They moved to Carthage in 1975. In 1984, they moved to
De Smet. She became a resident of the De Smet Good Samaritan Center
in June of 1995.
In addition to her husband, survivors
include four sons: John, Larry, Rodney and Roger all of Utah three
daughters: Arlene Boss of Idaho, Nadeen Burge and Diane Johnson 29
grandchildren 71 great-grandchildren six great-great-grandchildren
and one sister, Thelma Eggette of Utah.
Services begin at 2
p.m. Wednesday at Willoughby Funeral Home, Howard, with burial in
Pleasantview Cemetery, Carthage.
Visitation will be from 9
a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a prayer service at
8 p.m.
