| HOPE GERTRUDE (GRAHAM) CAMMERER Date: 7/7/1987 EMMETT – Hope Cammerer, 96, of Emmett, died Sunday, July 5, 1987, in an Emmett nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the Potter Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim More of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Emmett Cemetery. Mrs. Cammerer was born Dec. 27, 1890, at Wescott, Nebraska, a daughter of Francis Enoch "Frank" and Levina Jane [Johnston] Graham. She moved as a child to Ontario, Ore., then to Emmett. [She was married to Lester Martin Nichol on Aug. 15, 1910 in Emmett.] Her second husband, William Henry Cammerer, died in 1962. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. Survivors include a daughter, Marion Hope Hanson of Emmett; a daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Robert Callender of Emmett; two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Kay and Walt Luhr of Nampa and Nancy and Nathan M. Alexander of Boise; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie Ann Alexander and Nathan Robert Alexander. | DOROTHY BLANCHE (LYTLE) CAMPBELL Date: 10/1987 EMMETT -- Dorothy Blanche Campbell, 68, of Emmett, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1987 at a Lebanon, Ore. nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at the Potter Funeral Chapel. Rev. Gene Hill of the University Christian Church of Boise, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Emmett Cemetery. Mrs. Campbell was born Sept. 20, 1919, at Emmett. She married [Leroy F.] Campbell in August of 1937, at Emmett. They moved to Portland in 1947 and returned to Emmett in 1972. Her husband died May 6, 1973. She was a member of the Emmett First Christian Church; and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post #4900. Survivors include a son, Tom Campbell of Lebanon, Oregon; a brother, Lloyd Lytle of Boise; and two grandsons, Dennis and Mike, Nampa; four great-grandchildren, Robert Siers of Emmett, Jennifer, Heath and Daniel Lew, all of Nampa. Her husband and a great-granddaughter died earlier. Friends may call Monday from 1 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Alden-Waggoner Chapel. Submitted by a Friend of Free Genealogy DOROTHY E. (EDWARDS) CARTER Date: 11/1995 Dorothy E. Carter, 89, of Emmett, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 1995, in an Emmett care center. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 at the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Ore. Dorothy was born July 2, 1906, at Towner, N.D., a daughter of Elba and Margaret Miller Edwards. When she was a small child the family moved to Ontario, Ore., where she received her education. She married Collis Paul Carter in 1924 at Ontario. They moved to Vale, Ore., where Mr. Carter operated Carter Oil Co. In 1940, the family moved to Cascade where Dorothy had a beauty shop which she operated in the winter, and helped run the North Shore Lodge at Warm Lake in the summer. They moved to Seal Rock, Ore., in 1948. Mr. Carter died March 19, 1964. She moved to Chester, Calif., in 1966 to be near her daughter. She and her daughter moved to Emmett in 1989, where they have since made their home. Survivors include a daughter, Paula Murphy of Emmett; a son, Donn Carter, retired Army colonel, of Virginia Beach, Va.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren. Submitted by a Friend of Free Genealogy PERLE MAE (ANDRUS) CHISHAM Date: 1/1991 EMMETT – Perle Mae Andrus Chisham, 70, of Emmett, died Monday, Jan. 7, 1991, at a Mountain Home nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the Emmett First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bishop Max Alder will officiate. Burial will follow at the Emmett Cemetery. Mrs. Chisham was born Feb. 6, 1920, at Weiser, a daughter of Chancy and Alvira Andrus. She married Carl Lincoln Chisham Nov. 4, 1935, at Gooding. Survivors include her husband, of Emmett; three daughters, Carlen Huebert of Mountain Home, Mary Robinson of Crescent City, Calif., Doris Shelton of Bothell, Wash.; three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Verla Chisham of Cascade, Ronald and Cindy Chisham of Moore, and Carl and Winnie Chisham of Reno, Nev.; four sisters, Helen Mason of Weiser, Lily Phillips of Eagle Point, Ore., Hilma Hobson of Vancouver, Wash. And Kathy Kaliec of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Chancy Andrus of Portland, Ore., and James Alonzo Andrus of Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Source: Unknown Newspaper Submitted by a Friend of Free Genealogy DRUISILLA (PITEZEL) COBURN Date: 4/1999 Druisilla “Sally” Coburn, 78, of Emmett, died on Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at a Boise hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 1999 at Dry Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel. Sally was born in Alton, Ill., on Sept. 22, 1920, the daughter of Gwendolyn and Horton Pitezel. She married William “Bill” H. Coburn in St. Genevieve, Mo. on Jan. 23, 1943. After Bill returned from the service in the Marines during World War II, they moved from St. Louis, Mo., to McCall, Idaho where they raised their family. Eventually, they moved to Boise and finally retired to Emmett. Sally will be remembered for her devotion to her husband, home and family, her love of animals, flowers and her interest in people. She especially enjoyed the antics of all the birds in their garden in Emmett. Sally was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Sally is survived by her husband, Bill, of Emmett; two children, Mark and Sandy Coburn; five grandchildren, Mark Coburn II of The Dalles, Ore., Shelley Ward, Stephanie Caruso, Mindy and Shawna Coburn; three great-grandchildren, Shawn Ward, Cody and Brandon Caruso, all of Boise; two brothers, Bob and Gerald Pitezel; four sisters, Betty Kletzke, Eileen Cooper, Virginia Stewart and Nadine Goldman, all living in Missouri and Illinois. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Colier. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel. | ROBERT ELSMER HITCHCOCK FORMER SEWAL RESIDENT DIES IN IDAHO Services for Robert E. Hitchcock, 68, of Emmett, Idaho, who died Sunday (Oct. 11, 1959) in Nampa, Idaho, were held Thursday, Oct. 15th at the Beatty Chapel. Interment was in Sweet, Idaho. Mr. Hitchcock was born March 20, 1891 at Centerville, Iowa. He lived in Sewal, Iowa several years and moved from there to Kansas, then to Oklahoma and to Emmett, Idaho in 1939. He was a truck driver. On Aug. 30, 1951, he married Pearl Smith at Emmett. Surviving are his wife and two daughters.
