CALDERWOOD, CLARENCE RALPH

Clarence Ralph “Sykes” Calderwood, 86, Riggins, died at his home, Tuesday, March 3, 1998.  Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 6, at the Riggins Cemetery, Riggins, with Pastor Clifford Scheline officiating, under the direction of Heikkila Funeral Chapel, McCall.

Clarence was born Jan. 21, 1912, in Garden Valley to Ralph and Annie Carpentier Calderwood and was the youngest of eight children.  He lived on the home place in Garden Valley and worked in the timber industry.  In 1951 he moved to Riggins where he had since resided.

Clarence was a quiet and gentle man who loved to fish and was a great gardener.  He will be missed by those who knew him.  Surviving are a sister, Alice Davis, Riggins and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and brothers.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Riggins Ambulance Fund, Riggins, ID 83549.
