Idaho Genealogy Trails Birth Records

Birth records were kept in the county in which they occurred until July 1911. All records after July 1911 you will find at the Idaho Bureau of Vital Records and Health Statistics. Keep in mind that birth certificates are legally confidential for 100 years. This means that you may be asked to show proof of relationship (step, in-laws and great-grandparents are not immediate family). You will be asked to provide a copy of your photo ID.
