Deaths
ZUTHER -- Charles H. Zuther, a veteran of the civil war, died Sunday at
the Soldiers' Home, aged 82. Mr. Zuther was a private in Company C,
Second Colorado cavalry. He had been in the home for the past eight
years. Before coming to the Home Mr. Zuther was engaged in mining
business near Wallace. He turned over his mining interests to his
partner, who has been notified of his death. No funeral arrangements
will be made until he is heard from.
CHAPMAN -- Mrs. Mary E. Chapman died Sunday afternoon at the family
home at Meridian as the result of Bright's disease. She was 70 years of
age. She is survived by four sons and two daughters. One daughter
resides in Meridian, the other in Colorado. Two sons reside in
Nebraska, one in Meridian and one in boise, E. E. Chapman. Arrangements
for the funeral have not been made.

DEATHS OVER STATE
GRIGGS -- Ira G. Griggs died in Wallace following an operation for
appendicitis. He has been in charge of the Grouse gulch compressor
plant for several years and was a large stockholder in the North Idaho
Telephone company and a member of its board of directors. He
leaves a brother in Caldwell and a sister in California. Interment
Groton, S. D.
HARTER -- Myron Harter, a former well-known resident of Mullan, died in
Detroit, Mich., where he had gone for his health. Interment in Marion,
Kansas.
BALLINGER -- L. M. Ballinger died at his home in Twin Falls.
PRIES -- Miss Etta Pries, a former school teacher of Contact, Nev., died, while visiting in Twin Falls, after a brief sickness.
HANDLEY -- Kenneth Handley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Handley, died of pneumonia at his home in Twin Falls.
WILSON -- Ada Perry Wilson, 5-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wilson of Twin Falls, died after a two weeks' sickness.
LEE -- Charles Lee was killed 12 miles from Junction, where he resided,
by lightning as he was starting on a prospecting trip. He leaves a
widow and seven children.
STURDEVANT -- Mrs. J. M. Sturdevant, aged 59 years, died at the home of her son in Moscow of pneumonia fever.
