1. - One of Ursa's oldest and most beloved woman was called to her reward when Mrs. Emeline Varnier, nee Taylor, wife of the late M. Varnier, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martina Warfield, in Ursa at 2
o'clock p. m. yesterday, of senility and complications. She was born in Ursa 77 years ago the fifth day of last July, and had lived in Ursa all her life. She joined the Christian church in girlhood. She was married to the late M. C. Varnier September 26th, 1858. To this union four children were born, two girls and two boys. Mrs. Varnier was a good Christian woman always
caring more for home and church work than she did for society, and was always trying to help the poor and unfortunate. She leaves to mourn her death one daughter, Mrs. Martina Warfiled of ursa,
two sons, C. E. Varnier of Louisiana, Mo., and J. B. Varnier of Ursa, and one stepson, D. E. Varnier of Ursa, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Thomas
Leachman of Ursa, Mrs. D. Frazier of Ursa, Mrs. L. L. Thorton of Lima, William and Clarence Taylor of Washington, and a host of friends, Funeral services will be held at the Christian church at
Ursa at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. F. Nichols of Canton, Mo. Burial at New Providence cemetery by the side of her late husband, who died September 4, 1914.
