Friedrich Freiburg

Friedrich Freiburg was born September 18, 1843 at Allendorf, Westphalia, came to Quincy in 1865, worked initially for the furniture maker Franz Jasper, later in the workshop of the furniture manufacturer Friedrich W. Jansen, and then, together with his brother Joseph, opened a furniture business which they operated until 1892. Friedrich was married here to Katherine Laage, a daughter of the old pioneer Georg J. Laage. His wife died last year. (1906)
