Georg Heinrich Schnur


Georg Heinrich Schnur was born in 1805 in Dudenhofen, Hesse, and his wife Marie Moll, born in 1807 in the same place, came to the United States in 1841, moved to the state of Ohio and in 1843 to this county. Georg Heinrich Schnur was a weaver, but practiced farming here. His wife died in 1864 while Georg Heinrich Schnur died twenty years later in 1884. A son Johann Schnur was born December 20, 1836 in Dudenhofen, presently lives in Newtown in this county, where he farms.
