Benton-Dudley Implement Booklet (cont.)

Notice the ingredients in the concocktion for Diarrhea.
For Boils it says a quick remedy is made of soap and brown sugar. It is to be faithfully applied
until no signs of the boil remain. There is also a mention of how to rid the system of impurities which cause the
boils. I can't read too many of the ingredients but I do see a mention of several type of flowers, cream of tartar
and mixing with molasses or syrup. As for Gout, I can barely make out what it says to do but I do
see a mention of Iodide of potassium. For Croup, it states the main point is to act promptly. Give
the child a hot mustard bath. Give 20 drops of syrup of epicac until vomiting is induced.
For Diarrhea, I see a pincture of opium, lavender, rhubarb and camphor is used. Then you mix and give 10 drops every hour or two until the diarrhea stops.
