Abraham
Brown was born August 15, 1842, the son of Bradford and Lena Davis
Brown. Besides Abraham, Bradford and Lena had the following
children: Hessica, David, Francis Marion, who married
Elisabeth
Heilman, Levi, Elisabeth, Anna, Jane, Margaret, Catherine, Emaline and
Eliza.
Sarah Lillian
Clutts,
known as
Sally, was born March 4, 1845, the daughter of John and Eliza
Meisenheimer Clutts. Sarah died May 20, 1928. Her
siblings
included: Lucinda "Cindy," who first married a Webkins and
second
married a Walker, Mary "Polly" married a Miller, Martha first married a
Yates and second married a Henderson, Paul and Wiley. Abraham married Sarah Lillian Clutts and to this union four children were born, Alden Norm, Henry Clarence, Anna Eunice, who married Willis Light, and Julia Florence, who married John Hazel. Abraham died in 1906. The Clutts name was originally spelled Klotz. The original family members Jacob Klotz Sr., Leonhardt and Jacob Jr. arrived in Philadelphia in 1749 on the ship, Chesterfield. The family migrated to Alexander County, Illinois in 1816 from Rowan and Cabarrus Counties, North Carolina. Abraham and Sarah's son, Alden Norm married Margaret Miller. Henry Clarence married Susan Dunn, Julia Florence married John Hazel, and Anna Eunice married Willis Light. Abe and Sarah are both buried in the Thebes Cemetery.
