Ann writes "My mothers family are from Walnut, IL. My fathers
family are from Dixon, IL. My grandfather Bennett's family also owned
some property in Chicago,IL. My grandfather Wise farmed but also had a gas
station in Manlius, IL. My grandmother Wise taught school in a one room school
house. Thomas was grandmother Wise's maiden name. Her family had a Hotel
and Livery Stable. Grandmother Sarah Wise attened Normal College in
Prinston,IL at the turn of the century. Grandmother Wise was an avid
student of Anthropology. She would like sharing the past. My uncle Dr. Edward
Bennett is a Historian and is retired from Washington State in Pulman, WA.
He has many a great tale to tell about Dixon in the 20s and 30s."
