 Christly Miller Injured in Mowing Accident

Serious Accident with a Mower
Mr. Christly Miller, of the town of Selby in Bureau County, was seriously and most horribly injured by a mowing machine on Friday afternoon last. The ankle joint was opened from behind, and all the cords and bones cut through, leaving only about two inches of skin in front to hold the foot from dropping off.

William Bell Killed in Accidental Shooting

William Bell, a school teacher in Dover Township, Bureau County, was accidently shot of Friday, the 30th ult., while hunting ducks. The bullet passed through his head and killed him instantly.
