Evelyn was born on 4 May 1940, her young life cut short by a heart attack on the 30th of January 1990. She'd been riding with her husband and they'd just gotten to Sterling. When he looked over to her she was dead! Evelyn was a wonderful woman. She was in several farmers organizations and must have known everyone in Northern Illinois, as literally hundreds of people went to her funeral. It seems that never a week passes, when fresh flowers are not placed on her grave. This photo shows beautiful, fresh red roses in April 2003.
