FAMILY CEMETERY
Freedom Township
Located about 7 miles from Mt. Carroll
on Loran Road, N.W. 1/4 of Sec. 3, Twp. 25, R5e. Mr. Collin was living in the
schoolhouse nearby at the time this count was taken. It has been abandoned and
not being kept up; was being used as a goat pasture for awhile.
Re-Read August 2, 1977 by Mrs. Robert (Priscella) Mace and Mrs.
Vaughn (Pat) Gaar, of the Carroll County Genealogical Society. The oldest grave
is 1856 and the most recent burial was 1956.

With the Carter Graves we find this. "Here lies mother and me, little Willie in the middle makes three. Good Bye
mother Dear Mother, Good Bye."
I believe that in the last year (2003-4) the cemetery has been cleaned up and the picture of above
reflects the wonderful change in its appearnace
