Frank Hugh Locey was born in 22 July 1883 in Lawrence Co Ohio, the son of Hugh Sheridan & Amanda Catherine (Brown) Locey. He grew up in Ohio where he attended the Wolfe Creek School from 1888 - 1899.
Frank was married to Josey Evelyn Stone in Whiteside County IL on 24 February 1922. Josie was born 18 June 1902 in Johnson Co. TN, the daughter of George Washington & Ica Dora (Payne) Stone.
After their marriage Frank and Josey immediately set up housekeeping on a farm near Milledgeville in Carroll Co IL until about 1940. In 1940 they moved to farm in Thomson IL, Carroll Co, where they farmed until 1946, at which time Frank changed occupations and became the owner and operator of a Grocery/General Store in Malvern, Whiteside Co. IL until 1955.
Family history relates that Frank Locey's mother, Amanda Catherine Brown, was raised in Oklahoma in the Indian Territory. His father Hugh Sheridan Locey went west when a young man where he met and married Amanda in Kansas. Franks family can be traced back to the Great grandfather, William Locey Sr. born in 1761, who was a private in the Revolutionary War. William Locey Sr died in 1840 and was buried in Rome Cemetery near Procterville, Ohio. His grave was decorated by placing a marker at the foot of his grave 8 Dec 1931 by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The unveiling of the marker was done by Capt. James Lawerence Chapter DAR. Amanda Catherine Brown, was born 11 March 1852 and died 6 March 1923. She was born in Illinois near Springfield.
Frank Hugh Locey is found in the 1920 CENSUS in Hahanaman, Whiteside County, Illinois where he was farming with his parents and brother Walter. He and his wife again lived in Whiteside County 1946 until his death there in 1955 where he owned and operated a grocery/general store in Malvern, Clyde Township, Whiteside County, Illinois. He signed up for the draft 12 Sept 1918 in Whiteside County where he was described: Medium height, large build, blue eyes and light hair. He was not called to service.
Frank died in Morrison, Whiteside County IL on 17 March 1955 and is buried at Grove Hill Cemetery. Josie is also buried in Grove Hill Cemetery, she died 10 January 1962. They were the parents of five children.

Illinois. Died 16 May 1998 Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois and is
buried in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison. She married Walter William
Gilbert 6 Aug 1943 In Savanna. (Father & Mother-in-Law of the contributor)
Lyle Eugene Locey, born 1 Sep 1931 Milledgeville, Carroll County,
Illinois. Died 3 Oct 1967 University of Minnesota Hospital,
Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota as a result of a car accident.
He married Irene K. Morkan 1 Dec 1955 in International Falls,
Koochiching County, Minnesota. He served in the US Navy in the Korean
War and in WWII with the SeaBees in Italy.
Cecil Thomas Locey was born 16 Oct 1932. He served in the US
Airforce.
Elsie Evelyn Locey was born 27 Apr 1938 in Milledgeville, Carroll
County, Illinois.

Jasper LaRue Locey, born 21 Dec 1922 in Milledgeville, Carroll
County, Illinois and died in Rock Island County, Illinois as a result of
a traffic accident. He is buried in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.
