Spencer-Benham Family Reunions

June 19, 1966

The 69th Spencer-Benham reunion was held Sunday, June 19 at Jordan Hall, Sterling, Illinois with 56 in attendance.

President Wayne Spencer presented a silver spoon to his three year old son, Jamie Hal Spencer youngest member attending. Jamie is the grandson of the later Bert and Bertha Spencer. The oldest Spencer present was Mrs. Celia Spencer Morgan from Hollywood, Fla. Celia is the daughter of Charles Spencer, granddaughter of late Naaman Spencer, Jr. great granddaughter of the late Naaman Spencer Sr., one of the reunion founders.

The oldest Benham present was Mrs. Myrtle Spencer. Myrtle is the daughter of the late Bert and Bertha Spencer and also is related on both sides of the house.

It was voted by the members to meet the third Sunday in June at Jordan Hall for next year's reunion. Officers elected for the new year are: Wayne Spencer; president, Barney Hart, vice president and Joan Spencer, secretary.

An enjoyable afternoon was spent eating ice cream and visiting with relatives.
