Cass County
Henry Fiedler personally appeared befor the subscriber, the clerk of the circuit court of the county of Cass and made oath that he was born in the Grand Dukedom of Hessen on or about the 13th day of November 1821 and is now about thirty years of age, that he arived in the United States of America on or about the 3 (or 5) th day of August 1847. that it is bonafida his intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince Potentate State or soveregiety whatever and particularly to the Grand duke of Hessen whereof he is a subject.
