Mrs. Alma Nora Jeffers, wife of E. Jeffers
died at her home, 912 West Second Avenue, Monday, August 5, 1928. The body
will be sent to her old home at West York, Ills., tonight, via the Missouri
Pacific for funeral and burial.
Mrs. Jeffers was born February 24, 1877 in Clark County, Illinois and was
41 years of age. She is survived by her husband.

Funeral services for Ben Jenkins, 57, who died Thursday morning in the Paris hospital from a heart ailment, were
conducted Saturday afternoon at the Greenwell funeral home at 2 o'clock. Burial was in the
Ridgelawn cemetery.
Mr Jenkins was an employee of the Ohio Oil company. Surviving are the wife, Grace, two daughters, Mrs. Doris Talbott
of Greencastle, and Marjorie Ann Williams of Michigantown, Ind., three sons, Walter Eugene Rockville, Ind., Keneth
Evan with the U.S. Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, and Bobby at home, four brothers and one sister.

MARTINSVILLE, Ill.-Services for Mrs. Ina Johnson, 86, who died
at 6 p.m. Saturday at Tampa, Fla., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Greenwell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Surviving are three brothers, Charlie Watson, Westville, Ill; Glenn
Watson, Martinsville; and Lee Watson, Gorin, Mo; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Kentner and Mrs. Retta Staley, Tampa,
Fla; and Mrs. Hettie Miller, Martinsville.

Maurine Johnson, 95, Casey passed away 3:55 a.m. Thursday, October
31, 2002 in Heartland Manor Nursing Center, Casey.
She was born January 3, 1907 in Casey, the daughter of Dr. Lester
Howard Johnson and Elnora Nancy Fouty Johnson.
Survivors include one brother, Dr. Eugene P. Johnson & wife
Scotty of Casey; one sister-in-law, Mary Johnson of Casey; two nephews. Dr. James Johnson & wife Eva of Athens,
Ohio and Kent Johnson of Casey; three nieces, Priscilla Johnson of Brooklyn, N.Y., Sara Johnson of Bloomington,
Ind.; and Barbara Epstein of Berkley, Calif.; and several grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by
her parents, one brother, Dr. Howard Johnson; and two sisters, Bernadine Johnson and Marion Easton.
She was a math teacher in Arlington Heights for 4 years and Casey
High School for 37 years. She was a 82 year member of the First Christian Church in Casey, First Christian Church
Treasurer for 11 years, charter member of Casey Women's Club. life member of Clark County & Illinois Teachers
Association, 50 year member of Order of The Eastern Star, and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2002 at First
Christian Church, Casey with Rev. Dennis Steckley and Dr. Mark Kaley. Burial in the Washington Street Cemetery.
Visitation was one hour prior to service at the church.
