Mackie VanSant
Mackie VanSant, 65, of Marshall, passed away at 1:58pm Tuesday,
February 18, 2003 in Paris Healthcare Center at Paris.
Mr. VanSant was a retired carpenter. He was born May 15, 1937 in
Edgar County, Ilinois, the son of Mack VanSant and Rena Cline VanSant.
Surviving are two sons, Mike VanSant of Marshall, and Roger VanSant
of Chrisman; a sister and brother-in-law, Fern and Don Simons of Paris; a brother and sister-in-law, Max and Eleanor
VanSant of Effingham; and several nieces and nephews, including Susie Tingley of Marshall. Four brothers and two
sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, February 20 at Pearce
Funeral Home in Marshall.
Burial was in the Green Moss Cemetery, rural Marshall.

Arthur C. Voltenburg
A. C. Voltenburg, Westfield, Passed Away Friday
Arthur C. Voltenburg, age 81, of Westfield, passed away Friday,
March 27, at 1:15 p.m., in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Doris Fox, in Paris. He was born on September 17, 1888,
in Martinsville, the son of "Gib" and Mollie (King) Voltenburg.
Surviving are: the wife, Rhoda; two sons, Morris of Chesterville
and Everett of Bourbon; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Fox of Paris and Mrs. Jean Nihisea of Decatur; one sister, Mrs.
Maggie Pemberton of Oblong; one half-sister, Mrs. Ada Cooley of Newton.
Funeral services were held today at 1:30 p.m. at the Markwell Chapel
in Westfield with Rev. Dale Worchester of Paris officiating. Burial was in Findlay, Ill.
