Annual Graduating Exercises Occur at Methodist Church

The annual graduating exercises of the Charleston high school were held Friday evening at the First M. E. church and fourteen graduates received diplomas at the hands of the board of education. The exercises were witnessed by a large audience.

The church was decorated with the class colors and potted ferns. Prof. Otis W. Caldwell of the University of Chicago faculty delivered the address which was an able effort. The speaker was formerly a resident of Charleston and was given a hearty welcome by his friends and former associates in educational work in this city.

The programme of the evening was arranged as follows:
