City of Mattoon
Cemetery Deed Records
for Dodge Grove Cemetery
1868-1885
©Transcribed by Kim Torp
These are the actual cemetery deeds and were signed by both the mayor and city clerk of Mattoon through the years.
The deeds are a printed form that have blanks to fill in (see below for the wording of the deed) The individual's
name is hand written 4 times within the document, so this has helped for accuracy in transcribing. Names are occasionally
spelled differently within the same document. As with all online or printed transcriptions,
you are advised to check the original records for yourself. This microfilm can be ordered through HeritageQuest.com,
roll number V141-85
