COUPLE FETED BY CHURCH ON 55TH WEDDING
Women of Martha circle served the dinner in recognition of the couple who have been church workers since its establishment in 1902.
Family Present
The couple's three sons and one daughter, as well as Henry Sieburg of Arlington Heights who was an attendant at the wedding, were present. Others present included George Runge, brother of Frank, and Barney and William Landmeier and Mrs. Lida Runge, brothers and sisters of Mrs. Runge. All are Bensenville residents.
Sons and daughter in the family are Richard and Barnie of Arlington Heights, Mrs. Amanda Harbecke of Bensenville, and Otto, who has farmed the homestead near Mount Prospect since his father retired and moved to Arlington Heights in 1921.
Pastor Sings
Dinner program included songs by the Rev. William F. Kamphenkel, church pastor, and a recitation by his wife, Mrs. Cleone Kamphenkel.
Runge, 79, recently retired as secretary-treasurer of the church cemetery board. He also served 37 years as church treasurer, Mrs. Runge, 80, is a charter member of Martha circle. Mrs. William Lautherburg of the circle presented the charter member a potted plant.
Mr. and Mrs. Runge were married at her family's farm home near Bensenville. [Submitted by Source #96}
