Fayette County, Illinois Newspaper Stories

A 28-year-old Farina man has died in a single vehicle accident in Fayette County. State Police say Kelly Whitehead ran off Fayette County Road 18-75 East five miles northwest of St. Peter after losing control in the loose gravel. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. State Police say the wreck apparently occurred early yesterday morning, but was not discovered until 11:16 yesterday morning.
