John Bolton, merchant, Cuba. Mr. B. was born in England Feb. 19,
'05, and is of Scotch and English descent, his mother being a native of
Scotland and his father of England. He came to this county in 1844. He
attended the common schools, and prepared himself for the ministry and
has preached the Gospel for 40 years, 17 years in England. He is at
present conducting a boot and shoe and general store. He is a member of
the M. E. Church. In 1826, while in England, he married Margaret Brown.
They have 4 sons and daughters living and all married, out of a family
of 10 children born to them.
