George and Emma Councilman, and was born in the Buckeye State on the
29th of October., 1839. During the late war he enlisted and went to do
battle for his country. He served 18 months in Co. E, 43d Ohio Inf. Mr.
C. was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Miss Elizabeth,
daughter of Dr. Van Horn, of Ohio. Mrs. C. was born in that State in
