David Danner, farmer, sec. 13; P. O., Astoria. The subject
of this biography was born in York Co., Pa., in 1828. His
ancestry can be traced back to an early date in the pioneer history of
the Keystone State. While a youth David learned the wagon-maker's
trade, and for a short time worked as a journeyman. In 1847 he
took unto himself a wife in the person of Miss Grissie Ann Baker, who
has borne him 10 children. In 1864 Mr. D. came to Illinois and
located in Astoria tp. In 1865 he purchased his present farm.
