Moses L. Derry, Farmer, Sec.1; P. O., Vermont. Mr. D. is a native of Harrison Co., O., Where he was born on the 8th day of Oct., 1840. His Father, Solomon Derry, moved to Illinois with his family and settled in the Vermont, tp., this county, where he still resides. Moses grew into manhood in that township, and while living there he was united in marriage with Phoebe Hoppings, by whom he has three children.
