Within mine own Gethsemane;
I cry aloud, and God replies:
Fear not my child, cling fast to me."

That borders on that better land,
When I shall sweetly go to sleep,
Still clinging to my Father's hand."

and in 1824 emigrated to Ohio and settled on the Ohio river opposite
Wheeling. About the year 1830 they again emigrated and

Aunt Betsey as she was styled by everybody, was, at the time of

oldest member in the church she had the honor of spreading the mortar
at the laying of the corner stone for the present M. E. church.
For the past few years she has been a great sufferer but her daughter
Nancy took the best possible care of her and was no doubt the cause of
her living to the ripe old age she did.
