88, of Wayne City died February 10, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Smith was born April 20, 1913, in Wayne County to James Wiley and Clara (Hand) Mitchell. She married Raymond Fleck (Flick) Smith July 29,1933, in Wayne City; he died December 20, 1987. Funeral services will be held 2p.m. Tuesday at York Funeral Home in Wayne City. The Rev. Don Rector will officiate. Burial will be in Garrison Cemetery in rural Hamilton County. She is survived by two daughters, Audrey Crockett and husband Dale of Tensleep Wyo., and Deloris Ellis and husband Clyde of Bluford; four sons, Bobby Smith and wife Darlene of Fairfield, Garry Smith and wife Darlene of Cisne, Jack Smith and wife Bonnie of Wayne City and Tommy Smith and wife Elaine of Dahlgren; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was a member of Belle Prairie Missionary Baptist Church. in addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.".

RURAL DAHLGREN MAN
GUY RAYMOND "FLICK" SMITH 70, a rural Dahlgren resident, the father of Bobby Smith, of Fairfield, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday December 20, 1982, at Good Samaritan Hospital at Mt. Vernon. He was a retired factory worker at Airtex.
SERVICES WEDNESDAY
funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Richardson Funeral Home, of Wayne City, with rev. H. H. Mayberry officiating. Burial was in the Garrison Cemetery near Aden. Mr. Smith was born in Wayne County September 12, 1912, the son of Grover and Lochie (Jones) Smith. He was married to the former Flora Mitchell on July 29, 1933, who survives.
THE SURVIVORS
Survivors are his wife, Flora, of Dahlgren; four sons, Bobby Smith, of Fairfield; Gary Smith, Romeoville; Jack and Tom Smith, both of Wayne City; two daughters Audrey Crockett, of Worland, Wyo.; Deloris White of Wayne City; one brother, Kirby Smith of Wayne City; three sisters, Hazel Lane, of Dahlgren; Alma Marshel, of Sims; Bonnie Rayburn, of Bristow, Oklahoma; 23grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren."

Lafe Perry 78 of Wayne City, died at Memorial Hospital at 1:30Wednesday afternoon. He had been hospitalized since Sunday. The body was returned to the Richardson funeral home in Wayne City. Funeral arrangements were incomplete.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR LAFE PERRY
Retired Wayne City Minister and Farmer Died Wednesday Afternoon Here
Funeral Services for Lafe Perry, retired Wayne City farmer, were held from the Aden General Baptist Church Friday afternoon, with Rev. Lute Clark officiating. Interment was in Garrison Cemetery.
DIED AT HOSPITAL
Mr. Perry, 82, died at Memorial Hospital here early Wednesday afternoon. The Richardson Funeral Home had charge of rites. He was born in Hamilton County, the son of Dick and Mary Perry. Mr. Perry was married to Liza McFarland, who survives. He was are tired minister of the Aden General Baptist Church.

1 Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Cecil of Chester, and George of Wayne City; two brothers, Ira and Iva, both of East St. Louis; and one sister; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren."

MRS. LIZA PERRY DIES
Mrs. Liza Elizabeth Perry, 83, of Wayne City, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nolen Smith, in that community Sunday night.
RITES CONDUCTED
Funeral services were conducted from the Richardson Chapel Wednesday afternoon, Vernard Ile officiating. Interment was in Garrison Cemetery. She was a native of Galatia. In 1903 she married Lace (Lafe) Perry, who died in 1958. Mrs. Perry was a member of the Aden Baptist Church.
THE SURVIVERS
Surviving are two sons Cecil of Chester and George of Jackson, Mo., two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Smith and Wanda Forth, both of Wayne City; a brother Willy McFarland of Galatia; two sisters Ida and Iona, both of Gary Indiana 15 grandchildren and 20great-grandchildren."

I desire that all my just debts be paid with my personal expenses; that my entire personal property at my death shall immediately ____ in my beloved wife, Mary Ann Per, consisting of household and kitchen furniture, beds and bedding, cooking utensils, farming implements, wagon, harnesses, horses, cattle, hogs, sheepe and with any money owing on hand (if any) debts, due or owing to me, that she shall out of said, personal estate, pay the debts I may owe in her own way as she may determine without administration. The south1/4 of the SE ¼ of the NE gr of section 24, Town 3N 6, twenty acres and the NE ¼ SE gr of Sec 23 1/3 NE forty acres, not being heretofore conveyed I now convey the NE ¼ of the SE gr. of Section 23 lvng to my beloved wife, Mary Ann Peer in fee simple.
The S ½ of the SE ¼ NE gr of Section 24 above described to Stephen A. L. Peer in fee simple. My other children not provided for herein I have given heretofore of lands and personal property according to my ability and therefore make this my bequests here.
I will that my beloved wife shall after the Probate of my Will be at no other expense and she proceed in the sittleing of my affairs without-bond, or accounting to anyone except my creditors.

Cindi Lea (Webb) Skelton, 25, of McLeansboro, died at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 1998, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. She was a substitute teacher for Hamilton County Unit #10.
She was born on June 3, 1973, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Ronnie and Flossie Webb. In 1997, she married David Shane Skelton, who survives. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in McLeansboro.
The funeral was at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 1998, at the First United Methodist Church in McLeansboro. The Rev. Robert White officiated. Burial was in Garrison Cemetery in Aden. Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Skelton is survived by her son, Brandon Shane Skelton, at home; her husband, David Shane Skelton of McLeansboro; her parents, Ronnie and Flossie Webb of Wayne City; two brothers, Marty Webb and wife Alicia and Ryan Webb, all of Wayne City; grandmother, Fay Morris of Dahlgren; grandparents, Ralph and Mae White of McLeansboro; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by grandparents Ernest and Anna Webb and grandfather Donald Morris. Memorials for Brandon Shane Skelton's Education Fund are being accepted at Harre Funeral Home

Dorothy Mabel Rawls, 89, of Taft, California, and formerly of Aden, died Wednesday afternoon, April 22, 1998, at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in California. She was born on January 6, 1909, in Aden, a daughter of George S. and Louisa (Jenkins) Witter. She was married to Rosier Rawls for 53 years, and he died in 1985. Graveside services were at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 1998, at Garrison Cemetery. The Rev. Richard McCormick officiated. Burial was in the Garrison Cemetery. Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Rawls is survived by two sons, Bill Rawls and wife Ann of Hampton, Virginia, and Butch Rawls and wife Jody of Taft, California; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Hazel D. Smith, 96, of McLeansboro, died at 9:50 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 1998, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was a homemaker. She was born on May 25, 1902, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Andrew and Lucille (Hill) Garrison. On January 1, 1921, she married Frank R. Smith, who died on February 28, 1985. She was a member of Ellis Mound Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral was at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 1998, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. The Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in Garrison Cemetery near Aden. Mrs. Smith is survived by one sister, Grace Hawthorne of Aden; and several nieces and nephews, Donald E. Garrison, Robert E. Garrison, David Lee Garrison, James R. Garrison, Doris Hawthorne, David Hawthorne, Dorwin Hawthorne, Wilma Wilkerson, Dorothy Ricks, Norma Koker, Mildred Brumble and Kenneth Terry. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers and sisters, David L. and Leland H. Garrison, Winnie Garrison, Gertie Wagneck, Onie Perry, Ethel Blankenship and Magel Garrison (her twin).

James Lowell McCullough, 65, of Arlington, Tennessee and formerly of Aden, died Monday, July 31, 2000 at 4:10 p.m. at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was retired as a supervisor from Caterpillar, Inc. of Mossville. He was born February 8, 1935 in Hamilton County, a son of Sam Allen McCullough and Dorris (Hall) McCullough. He married Joyce Elaine (Cool) McCullough on September 3, 1976 in Chillicothe and she survives. Survivors include his wife, Joyce E. McCullough of Arlington, Tennessee; his father, Sam Allen McCullough of McLeansboro; one son, Robert Allen McCullough of Chillicothe; one daughter, Kristie Speicher of Washington, Illinois; one step-daughter, Cindy E. Willey of Kewanee; one step-son, Kevin W. Franklin of Fairfield, Iowa; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; and one sister, Lela Mae Newton and husband Roy of McLeansboro. Funeral services were held at 12 noon on Thursday, August 3, 2000 at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in Garrison Cemetery, near Aden. Mr. McCullough was a Christian. He enjoyed gardening, horses, taking care of 27 acres, swimming, helping others, and was a "Mr. Fixit". He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Ann McCullough and his mother. Harre Funeral Home of McLeansboro was in charge of all arrangements.
