Zan Fulkerson

Zan Fulkerson, 65, of rural Simpson, IL (near Eddyville community) died June 30, 2006 at Harrisburg Medical Center.  He was the son of the late Hughie and Corinne (Pate) Fulkerson of Pope County.

Survivors include three daughters, Melody (Darryll) Krumrey, Marion; Melisa (Tim) Beane, Eddyville; and Mindy (David) Martin, Golconda; four grandchildren; and a sister, Lovetta (Paul) Smith, Louisville, KY.

Zan was a U. S. Army veteran; a member of the Millstone Water District Board, a trustee of Gossage Cemetery; and a former member of the Pope County Board of Education.  He operated Zan's Ag. Aviation for 30 years and was a farmer.  He served on the Pope County Farm Bureau.

Services were held July 6 at Eddyville Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial was in Glendale Cemetery with military rites.
