Robert
H. Jackson
Bob
was born November 15, 1935 to Percy and Anna
Jackson in Rosiclare, Illinois. He passed away
suddenly, yet peacefully, at home on his 72nd
birthday.
As a
young man, he moved to Wyoming where he worked
as a cowboy until joining the U.S. Army, 11th
Airborne Division, serving in Augsburg,
Germany. He returned to Wyoming where he
worked as a chemical analyst for FMC. He later
moved to Bakersfield where he worked for 35
years in local real estate.
Bob
was a member of the NRA and the Kern River Gun
Association. He was a true sportsman and loved
hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. He
was known to always be available to lend
anyone a helping hand - family, friend, or
stranger.
He is
survived by his wife, Kitty; his former wife,
and the mother of his daughters, Frieda
Jackson; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara
and Bill Stramler, Leann and Mark Meek;
grandchildren, Cody and Clint Meek, Andrea,
Jackson, Joey, Brenna, and Kalie-Rose Stramler;
sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Bill
McMasters, Judy and Van Phillippe, and Dinah
Highley; and extended family Margaret, Paul,
Peter and Chris DeArmond. His Family knows he
will now be enjoying Happy Trails and his
brother, Russ. Dad, we'll miss you and we love
you always.
Memorial
services will be held on Saturday, November
24th, 11:00 a.m., at Hopson-Anspach Family
Mortuary, 620 Oregon Street, Bakersfield.
In
lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made to the charity of your choice. In honor
of Bob, the family requests that you do
something to help someone else, take your dog
for a walk, and RELAX!
