Henry
Eugene "Little Man" Kaegi, 87, of
Harrisburg, died 6:17 p.m. Saturday, May 28,
2005 at Harrisburg Medical Center. He
was a former resident of Hardin County.
Services
were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2005,
at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown with
Pastor Jack Hall officiating. Burial was
in Hogan Cemetery in Shawneetown with military
rites by Eldorado Post No. 911.
He was
born February 19, 1918, in Shawneetown to the
late George Potter Kaegi and Mary Elizabeth
(Baugher) Kaegi. On March 6, 1945, he
married Anesley Rose Davis, who preceded him
in death on May 8, 1981.
He
served in the Army in World War II and was a
farmer.
He is
survived by four daughters, Mary Capeheart of
Shawneetown, Ann (Stanley) Chapman of
Equality, Lilly (Raymond) Endicott of Galatin
and Twila (Gene) Haney of Galena, KS.; three
sons, Kenny Kaegi of Eldorado, Billy Kaegi of
Galena, KS., and George (Carol) Kaegi of Dry
Branch, GA.; 27 grandchildren; and several
great-grandchildren.
In
addition to his parents and wife, he was
preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Eugene
Kaegi Sr., and Jack Mathis; and a sister,
Blanche Jones.
