Theodore L. "Ted" Olsen

Theodore L. "Ted" Olsen, 64, Elizabethtown, IL passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2001 in his sleep at home in Morris, IL. Born December 12, 1936 in Aurora, IL, the son of Oscar and Cecelia P. Marek Olsen.

Served in the U. S. Army Dental Corp. Employed as an I.B.E.W. Journeyman Electrician for 30 years, specializing in the nuclear industry.

He celebrated a Millenium retirement on January 1, 2000. Married Rachel A. White on December 22, 1979 in Houston, Texas.

Member of I.B.E.W. Union Local #278 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Among his hobbies were astronomy, electronics, automobiles, ham radio operator, stock car racing.

He served on the Woodridge, IL Police Department for two years.

Surviving are his wife, Rachel A., Elizabethtown, IL; mother, Cecelia P. Olsen, Chula Vista, CA; two daughters, Tammy Olsen and Breahnna (Robbie) Simon, both of Texas; two sons, Cass Olsen and Cory Olsen, both of Texas; two granddaughters, Marissa and Lythande; a brother, Robert Olsen, Elizabethtown, IL.

Preceded by his father.

Friends may call Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at U. C. Davis and Sons Funeral Home, Ltd, in Morris, IL from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Hosick Funeral Home in Rosiclare, IL. Memorial Gifts can be directed to University of Chicago Oncology Department.
