Ida "Nanny" Pulaski

Ida "Nanny" Pulaski of Burton, age 80, died Friday, September 20, 2002 at Genesys Health Park. 

Funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, September 23, 2002 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Doug Klein officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. 

Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one's choice. No visitation prior to the service.

 Mrs. Pulaski was born in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois on October 15, 1921, the daughter of Thomas and Mamie (Oxford) Rutherford. She was an avid basketball fan and TV watcher. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. Mrs. Pulaski was employed by Springs Drug Store for 10 years. 

Surviving are daughter, Janine Austin of Flint; grandson, Christopher "Scott" Austin of Florida; sister, Wanda (Brad) Riggs of Illinois; brother, Garvin (Betty) Rutherford of Illinois; sister-in-law, Mary Uptigrove of Burton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael; brothers, Adrian, Oren and Hansel; brother-in-law, Walter Uptigrove and great-nephew, Michael Uptigrove.
