Edna
Wooten, a 93 year old resident of Carmi, IL,
passed away Monday, March 21, 2005 at 4:00 p.m.
at the St. Anthony's Medical Center in St.
Louis, MO.
She was
born November 27, 1911 in Hardin County, IL, the
daughter of Wilson and Laura (Milligan) Hall.
She
married Casper Cash Wooten, December 23, 1930
and he preceded her in death May 24, 1989. She
was a homemaker. She was a member of the Big
Prairie Methodist Church, the Farm Bureau and
the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Surviving
are a daughter and son-in-law, Beulah and Jay
Schicker of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren,
Pam and husband, John Mueller and Jason and
wife, Kara Schicker; two great-granddaughters,
Emma Claire Mueller and Claudia Cash Schicker;
three brothers, Herman Hall of E. Alton, IL,
Weldon Hall of Houston, TX and Ewell Hall of
Cave-In-Rock, IL.
She was
preceded in death by a son, Casper Leon Wooten;
two sisters, Phoebe Ledbetter and Beulah DaVault
and a brother, Henry Hall.
Funeral
service for Edna Wooten, 93, of Carmi, will be
Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., at Big
Prairie Methodist Church, Carmi, IL, with the
Rev. C. William Fechtig officiating. Burial will
be in the White County Memorial Garden in Carmi.
Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.,
Monday, at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi,
IL. Memorial gifts may be given in Edna Wooten's
name to the Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital,
1465 S. Grand Blvd., St. Louis, MO. 63104
or the Big Prairie Methodist Church.
