The Geneseo Republic, January 2, 1880
Among the pleasant happenings of Christmas day that our reporter failed to glean in time for last week's issue was the marriage of Miss Allie Martin of this city to John C. Ayes, one of the most prosperous young farmers of Munson. The ceremony was performed at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John Martin, the bride's parents, at 2 o'clock p.m. on the 25th ult., Rev. G. C. Woodruff officiating. Allie was one of Geneseo's best young ladies and having chosen a husband every way worthy of her, it only remains for the many friends of the couple to wish them much joy and a long and happy life.
