Paper copies of Civil War military service and pension records can be ordered
by mail using one NATF Form 85 (pension) and Form 86 (military service) for each soldier and each type of file.
You can obtain the NATF these forms by providing your name and mailing address to: inquire@nara.gov. Be sure to specify "Form
85 or 86" and the number of forms you need.

Pension Documents Packet: $14.75 (includes 8 documents, if available in the file, that contain genealogical information
about the pension applicant)
Bounty Land Warrant File: $17.25
