08 Jun 1885, Resolved that the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars be levied as a Special tax on the taxable property of District No 5 Town 9 for school purposes and that the said amount be truly certified to and returned tot eh Township Treasure according to law. ~Wm Armstrong, clerk

30 May 1887, Board met and made their annul levy. Resolved that the sum of $150 (this is crossed out) be levied as a special tax for school purposes on the taxable property of this District No 5. ~Geo Etherton, clerk

21 Apr 1888, At the annual election held at the Hiller school house in school district No 5, Township No 9 Range 2, of the Principal Meridian in Jackson County, State of Illinois on Saturday the 21 day of April 1888, met for the purpose of electing two school Directors to fill the vacancies of Wm Armstrong and J L Golliher. Wm Etherton was elected for the term of three years, Abraham Crawshaw for the term of one year. Wm Armstrong, clerk, J L Golliher (and) Thomas Crawshaw--judges of the election

20 Apr 1889, At the annual election held at the Hiller school house in school district No 5, Township No 9 Range 2, of the Principal Meridian in Jackson County, State of Illinois on Saturday April 20, 1888 for the purpose of electing one school director to fill vacancy of Abe Crawshaw.
