Notes:
Alexander Roberts was a veteran of the Civil War (private, later corporal in Co. D, 81st Illinois Vol. Infantry).
Pink A. Roberts is a son of Alexander and Sarah J. Roberts.
Sarah Elizabeth Smith was the third daughter of Alexander and Sarah J. Roberts. She married John Smith.
David G. was the eldest son of Alexander and Sarah J. Roberts.

Additional Notes:
Sarah J. Roberts, (nee Durham) wife of Alexander along with two of their additional children - William Newton Roberts, (known as "Newt") and Mary [Roberts] Lybarger are buried at Central Cemetery (Section 6, DeSoto Township, Jackson Co., IL) Additionally, Mary Roberts first husband was Josiah Griffin; her second was Samuel Lybarger.

Lafe Roberts, (full name John Lafayette,) the youngest son of Alexander and Sarah J. Roberts, is buried at Zion Cemetery along with wife Sarah "Sally" (nee Bittner) (Section 23 of Somerset Township, Jackson Co., IL).
Adjacent to their graves is the grave of their son oldest Roy Roberts who died as a child [b. 6 Oct., 1894, d. 12 Nov., 1902]
