SONGER CEMETERY (Crooked Creek Twp)....The entrance stone that says "Songer Cemetery" was purchased and placed by Cathi Knollenberg's great uncle, Calvin Gosnell, who lives just down the road from the cemetery on some of the original Gosnell lands purchased in the 1850s. According to Cathi, Songer Cemetery is still an active cemetery, but it is falling into disrepair. Many of the oldest grave sites that are close to the creek are in danger of eroding into the creekbed. Many of the stones are long gone or vandalized. It is a wooded, secluded cemetery that is still beautiful.
