Darrold Roger Allen

Darrold Roger Allen, age 51, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, 
at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. 

He was born September 23, 1954, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois son of Leroy Allen and 
Marjorie (Turner) Allen. He married Susan Shepard on March 11, 2003 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. 

Darrold is survived by his Mother and Stepfather; Marjorie Myers and husband David of Mt. Vernon, 
Illinois; stepmother, Mary Allen of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; Wife, Susan Allen of MT. Vernon, 
Illinois; two sons, David Allen of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Eric Allen of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 
two daughters, Abigail Little of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Denice Mohn of Springfield, Illinois; 
five grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Shanna Huston of Mt. Vernon, Illinois an Stephanie Nguyen 
and husband Bob of Canoga Park, California; two brothers; Bill Nafziger and wife Lora of Bonnie, 
Illinois and Roger "Rod" Allen and wife Kathy of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; one sister, 
Theresa Allen of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

His father preceded him in death. Darrold was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, 
was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and loved his family and friends. 
In honor of Darrold's wishes Private Services were held.
