Osa Ola Atchison

Mrs Osa Ola Atchison, of Belle Rive, died at 9:00 o'clock last night 
at the age of 78 years, one month and one day.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel with the 
Rev. Bird Green officiating. Burial will be in Ham's Grove Cemetery, when  
weather conditions permit. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where 
friends may call.

Mrs. Atchison was born December 25, 1870 in Jefferson County, the daughter 
of Clisba D. Riggs and Margaret [Sanders] Riggs. She was first married to  
B.F. Melton who preceded her in death in 1929. On January 31,1940 she was  
married to G.W. Atchison, who survives.

Mrs. Atchison was a member of the Free Will Baptist church.

Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Ralph Melton of Mt. Vernon; 
two daughters, Mrs Lee Whisenhunt of Belle Rive and Mrs. Everett Randolph of  
Opdyke; one brother, Charles Riggs of Belle Rive; and two sisters, Mrs. Effie  
Bumpus and Mrs. Rosa Melton of Mt. Vernon.

She was preceded in death by five children.
