Mona M. (Humphrey) Bean

Mona M. Bean, 97, a former Benton resident, died Aug, 25, 1999, at 
Northgate Nursing Home in Florissant, Mo. 

She was born Dec. 16, 1901, in Jefferson County to Noah Calvin and Stella 
(Lisenby) Humphrey. On April 3, 1921, she married Walter Leonard Bean, 
who died Oct. 30, 1983.  

Services will be at noon Friday at Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton, 
with Pastor Phillip Ingle officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic 
and Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton. 

Survivors include Mrs. Bean's daughter, Jackie Hayes of Florissant, Mo.; 
two grandsons, Bret Hayes and wife Sonya of Florissant and Bruce Hayes and 
wife Clarita of St. Charles, Mo.; four great-grandchildren; one sister, 
Vermadell Travis of Peoria, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. 

Mrs. Bean was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton and Campground 
Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a 
sister, Leota Mick; and a son-in-law, Bob Hayes. 

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Benton and will be accepted 
at the funeral home.
